Current mood: speechless. I'm writing this blog post just a few days after going to see Pharrell Williams at the O2 London.
Anyone that knows me knows that I have been obsessed with Pharrell for a very long time now. I was a huge N.E.R.D fan back in the day and have since grown up listening to all his music and collaborations. Not only do I worship his genre of music, but he is by far the most beautiful man on the planet.
I am incredibly lucky that for my birthday, my best friend bought me tickets for the concert. After 5 months of excitement and anticipation, the day was finally here and we equally had plenty of fan-girl moments.
We queued up for a while but in the end it was worth it to be standing 3 rows away from the beauty that is Pharrell Williams. I had high expectations for the performance and he exceeded them by miles. The engagement with the audience was incredible and he even got a selection of us up on stage.
I very rarely go to concerts but from my experience I knew it was going to be a long, hot evening. For those following me on Instagram, you'll be aware that I purchased the Calvin Klein sports bra from Net-A-Porter. I've been dying to get my hands on it for a while now but haven't had any luck, so when I saw it on Net-A-Porter, I knew I had to buy it straight away.
Whilst it's a sports bra, it's definitely designed for women with boobs on the small side (like most Calvin Klein products). I am not one of those women. Support wise, the bra is pretty shoddy. But aesthetically, it looks amazing. You can get away with wearing it for a day or two but I 100% don't recommend it being your staple, everyday bra. And don't even think about the gym. For £30 you could buy a much better bra but 1. it wouldn't be Calvin Klein. and 2. you couldn't get away with showing it off.
I paired the bra with a red flannel shirt from the Uniqlo men's section, which could be worn around my waist or open on my back. Again, I'm a huge fan of checkered shirts but have never found the perfect one. This one ticks a lot of my boxes but I'm still not fully happy. However, it is brilliant quality and just the right thickness with a discreet pocket on the front for only £19.99. Uniqlo have a huge selection of flannel shirts in different colours that come in S-XL.
Finally, I wore my high waisted Joni jeans from topshop which have to be the comfiest jeans in the world. And for extra comfort I slipped on my Nike Free's 5.0 which were bought from Urban Outfitters earlier this year. (now sold out in most places)
If you want to see more of my OOTD'S then be sure to follow me on Instagram. I'll be hosting a few competitions in the next few months!
