What better way to start blogging again than with a Balmain treat! Yes, I have had a few months away from blogging due to dealing with University work etc, but I am back and hoping to get at least 3 posts a week done.
In the past I have had the honour to work with Balmain hair and my previous review on their hair brush and styling products is still my most popular post to date. Balmain have since contacted me to introduce their 'Moisturizing care collection' - this line of products is essential for maintaining soft, shiny, healthy looking hair and goes hand in hand with their hair brush.
As always, Balmain didn't fail to deliver when it came to packaging. I woke up to one of the most beautiful parcels I've ever received: Within a normal delivery box was a Balmain carrier bag which held the most pristine white gift box. I am such a sucker for minimalist, exquisite packaging. Once opened, the box displayed the 3 products; Moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing conditioner and a hair repair mask. Regardless of the packaging, the products did not fail to deliver. The smell alone is enough to keep you addicted. A heavenly thick texture that is enriched with pure organic argan oil. Even in the shower you can already feel how nourished your hair feels. Using the shampoo and conditioner in conjunction is recommended but not necessary. On days where I haven't had much time, I've used the shampoo on its own and still seen an improvement in shine and feel of my hair. I've never really had a 'go-to' shampoo and usually just pick up what smells best. But since trying other shampoos after using this, I can definitely see the difference. I will not be straying from my Balmain routine any time soon and would recommend investing in either of these products. Unfortunately I am yet to try the hair mask (single review to come) as I haven't felt I needed it just yet - It will 100% come in useful after my holiday abroad though.
Now let's get down to price. The gift set I was sent retails at £49.95. This does seem steep for a standard hair care set but 1) this is balmain. 2) they're the best products I've used. and 3) hint at it for a Christmas present!! I've been using this daily for the past month and there is not even a dent in either bottles, so it definitely seems like they last. The pump is a perfect addition to get the right amount of product out so you never waste any of it. If you wanted any of these products on their own you can purchase them for:
Balmain shampoo - £18.95 Balmain conditioner - £20.95 Balmain hair repair mask - £24.95 Now, I'm sure after you've read those prices you're more inclined to buy the gift box, especially since it comes in such beautiful packaging!
