Calzedonia Bip Ling #DenimDays customising workshop
New season denim leggings? Check. Tons of gems, studs, glitter and fabric glue? Check. One very awesome blogger with bags of personality? Check. Throw in my all time favourite tight and hosiery store, and you get the Calzedonia Bip Ling #DenimDays customising workshop that was held at the Calzedonia Westfield store!
Customised denim has been a huge trend for SS14, as seen on the catwalks at House of Holland, Ashish and Balmain. Off the catwalk numerous fashion editors and stylists have been seen with their own customised denim.
The lovely thing about Calzedonia’s new denim legging collection is that the material is very lightweight, so that it can be worn all year round! Also because of the light fabric, they are great for doing a bit of DIY; thin enough to, for example, adds some studs, but thick enough to last you a long time!
So, with summery drink in one hand and leggings in the other, I was introduced to Bip herself. I was a tad nervous as she is one of my blogging heroes, but she was so welcoming and friendly that all my nerves melted away!
She was just as excited as we were to get customising, so we got stuck in. With the variety of gems, paint, glitter, lace and studs available, it was hard to choose what to use! I decided to go for something that I don’t have much of in my wardrobe; neon and holographic. All while we were customising, Bip made us feel right at home, asking about ourselves and our blogs.
She even allowed us to put our own little ‘mooch’ on our leggings if we wanted, and gave us tips on how to draw it (it’s all in the circles!). I had so much fun I really didn’t want to leave! So thank you Calzedonia and Bip for such a lovely afternoon; DIYing with one of my blogging heroes…what more could you ask for?
