Ladies, take note.

eyebrows Eyebrows are something I have a massive problem with. I hate people that don't use any eyebrow products to pencil them in and add definition but I also hate people that cannot get the balance right and perfect their eyebrows. Now I don't think I have the most perfect eyebrows (especially because they don't look like any of the ones below) but I do try my hardest to maintain and define them every day.

When people ask 'What is your favourite era?' or 'If you could live in a different time, when would it be?' and without hesitation, my answer would be the fifties. Not only was the fifties the era of brilliant actresses and beautiful icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor (my favourites), it also oozed with glamour and decadence. I can only imagine the feeling of being in Hollywood at that time. The style, the beauty, the talent! When thinking of the fifties, the first thing that comes to my mind is their fashion sense. The second is their beauty trends. If I could wear my hair like Marilyn Monroe every single day, I would. And if I could wear a fur coat and a bottle of Chanel No5 to bed, I would. But lets get down to the real reason behind this post, fifties women had their eyebrows PERFECTED. There is not one thing I would change about the five women's eyebrows below and what's even better is that with the vast amount of products out there, we can aim for this perfection. From pencils, kits, wax, gel, there are tonnes of eyebrow products on the market and even places to get 'HD Brows' like the looks of current celebrities such as Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian. (You'll also find below these images some products you can purchase & the ultimate tip for perfecting brows)

  2. Elizabeth Taylor liz taylor
  3. Sophia Loren sophia loren

What to buy:

Left to right: Mac eyebrow pencil, Benefit browzings, Eyelure brow pencil (what I use), Tweezerman tweezers, Mac brow fix, Smashbox brow wax

Now this is the idea that I follow: taking any of your brushes, lets say its your eyeshadow brush, line it up with these points and it will show you where to start (inside of eye), finish (outside of eye) and arch (through the pupil) your brow - if you do this they'll be at least half way to perfection! eyebrows-right-shape
