Cadenzza SS14

Cadenzza is the brand new brain child of the Swarovski group; They are versatile and varied and with high street to high end prices, anyone can take a browse.Last week we had an exclusive preview of their SS14 collections. Metallic tables and creative accessories surrounded by floor to ceiling white curtains set the scene of the night, a curtain corridor of avant garde creations introduced us to some of the jewels before seeing the collections.

Designer Alex Monroe’s new collection was displayed and we also had a chat with him to hear some more about the brand; “I didn’t want to be unreachable to the public, they are the audience for the most part, some items are slightly pricier but that keeps them high quality and makes them even more special when someone gives them as a gift.”. Plating sterling silver with gold keeps the quality and look of each of his pieces but brings down the price somewhat, beautifully ornate bracelets and necklaces with a nature theme. Handmade in London, Bumblebees and butterflies at the end of an elegant chain, perfect for a loved one.

Other established designers such as ‘Oscar de la Renta’ had his pieces displayed, beautiful embedded crystals and dark warm colours for spring summer, Versace and Karen Millen are also available at the shop.

New designers such as ‘Cabinet Studios’ a British born luxury label born of Gemma Critchley, her SS14 collection included the ingenious approach of clear crystals embedded backwards so the light flows beautifully and the colour of whatever you are wearing is magnified, a statement piece of beauty but also understated and elegant.

Mawi Keivom is a up and coming designer that also really stood out to us, she loves to mix things up, ‘punk and art-deco’ ‘east and west’ Rihanna, Elle MacPherson and Lana del Rey are fans and so are we, her beautiful bike chain bracelet was genius, beautiful and yet so avant garde.

CALEIDOSCÓPIO: The brand from the Brazilian Fontan family displayed stunning cyclical dreams, their architectural backgrounds clearly coming through in the pieces as structural works of art.

Lastly Sabrina Dehoff, her pieces have been featured in French ‘Glamour’ and German and French ‘Elle’. She went all out colourful for SS14 with lots of turquoise blues and gold but best of all this beautiful statement necklace.
