Fashion edit with Stylist Magazine at One New Change
Everyone knows the best way to spend a Sunday is by enjoying a good brunch. I did one better. I spent my Sunday at the incredibly chic Bread Street Kitchen, owned by Gordon Ramsay, at One New Change. For those of you who don’t make it up to the St. Paul’s area that often I can highly recommend a visit to the new and absolutely fabulous shopping mall, which carries everything from H&M to Reiss (which incidentally is my favourite shop). Better than Westfield and not as hectic as Oxford Street.
Stylist magazine collaborated with One New Change and created the ultimate brunch, where for the price of £35, 60 ladies (and gentlemen) could enjoy a morning filled with drinks, pampering, delicious food and a goodie bag worth over £100!
I arrived to the exclusive event and armed with a vodka and elderflower drink made my way downstairs to the beauty bars to enjoy a massage with Malika, an expert beauty service specialising in threading; face mapping with Dermalogica; a hair styling session with RUSH and a manicure.
After the team from RUSH worked their magic with my hair and my much-needed consultation with the Dermalogica team (with the surprise news that my ears have great skin but the remainder of my face needs a bit more water and a bit less stress) it was time for the fashion edit with Stylist Magazine.
The fashion team from Stylist showed a selection of styles, pointing out key trends for the season including the colour pink, which took over the catwalk this season with Celine favouring baby and powdery pink and Burberry offering a coral alternative. The texture trend was also heavily talked about with focus on mohair, angora and velvet fabrics alongside the 90’s fashion comeback, the kilt and the tartan pattern.
Following the fashion edit we were shown to our seats and given the coveted goodie bag which I can guarantee that any fashionista would have been happy with. Truffles from Hotel Chocolat, hair oils from Shu Uemura and L’Oreal, a face cleansing pack from Dermalogica, a candle from Bluebell & Hyacinth, discounts at LK Bennett and Reiss (I already know what I’ll be buying), a leather bound notebook from Bang & Olufsen, a gift card with £10 to spend at One New Change and the latest edition of Stylist Magazine. We’d all died and gone to heaven. And that’s not all that was in the bag…
And as if the feast of buttery croissants, Eggs Benedict and salmon sandwiches which we were treated to on arrival wasn’t enough, we all enjoyed a luxurious two-course meal - a splendid finish to the event.
I also managed to squeeze in a quick visit to my new favourite spot, the rooftop terrace, where you can sip on cocktails at the Madison bar while taking in the magnificent view of St. Paul’s Cathedral and London city.
I know where I’ll be spending my Sunday’s from now on…
