Moschino has announced that 39-year-old Jeremy Scott is to replace Rossella Jardini who has been creative director since 1994 after Franco Moschino, founder of the fashion house passed away.

Jeremy Scott is set to make his Moschino runway debut at their Fall 2014 show which is scheduled for February next year.

During an interview with Jeremy Scott has said that he will continue to solely run his company alongside his new responsibilities at Moschino.

Moschino have said ”Moschino thanks Rossella Jardini for her enormous contribution in keeping the spirit of Moschino alive and at the forefront of fashion from 1994 to the present day,” continued tonight’s statement. “Her creativity and tenacity drove the brand on and Rossella Jardini will always remain a crucial part of our history.”

Scott has previously worked for Moschino as an intern at their press office during his time at University.

First an intern, now,  man in charge. It is a well deserved change for Jeremy Scott. Rossella Jardini did a great job at Moschino so it will be great to see what he has in store for the label.
