ELEVEN PARIS showed off their new A/W collection this week, bringing together the fashion folk of London to sip champagne and eat mini-hot dogs in their London store on Carnaby Street, their first store in the UK.
The new collection was definitely in line with current trends, focusing heavily on muted colours in black, grey, burgundy and royal blue with the main influences for the clothes urban style being the city of Warsaw with its dynamic history and the 90’s fashion comeback (which was featured heavily during LFW as well).
Fabric and quality are two very important aspects of the brand’s image and I was told dame Vivienne Westwood’s very own product developer has visited the shop, praising the choice of fabric. The A/W collection contains lots of wool, lamb wool leather and heavy cotton - perfect for winter. ELEVEN PARIS are also known for their unique t-shirts prints and they often collaborate with European artists.
The event was amazing fun and we were treated to a DJ set by Hello Mozart and a performance by the ever so cool and relaxed Lady Cartel, who got me in the party mood (or maybe it was all that champagne?) and who fits in perfectly with the brand’s rock ‘n’ roll image. As if that wasn’t enough, the current campaign also features Lenny Kravitz and Sky Ferreira.
As an extra bonus we were all offered the chance to get our nails done (talk about a great party!) by Bella-Loretta and I made sure I represented us, by getting NAKED written on my nails. In hindsight, maybe not the best choice…
