LFW: Fashion showcase & Fabulous cocktails at Whisky Mist

Little bit late!!  Juben Full range

This year’s LFW coincided with Friday the 13th. Bad omen? Not for designers Kate Fearnley and Juliette Ryley. Represented by Golden Frog PR, this was the first fashion week event for both designers and the chance for them to shine with their individual fashion pieces.

Kate, owner and creator of KF Boutique, has been on the fashion radar since 2002 when she started designing her own collections and she is known for her 50’s inspired and colorful dresses worn by UK celebs such as Alexandra Burke and The Saturdays.

As a refreshing change, Kate’s new collection – although having kept its trademark feminine look – has taken a new sleek and sexy turn with far more black than is standard for the KF brand but always with a pop of color!

While sipping on a divine melon cocktail I got Kate’s take on her new collection – which she describes as accessible and she is excited about the introduction of separates and day-to-night clothing, as opposed to the formal evening and bridal clothing she is known for.

Also showcased during this evening was new designer on the block, Juliette Ryley, who on Saturday won the “Girls Mean Business” award, celebrating her brand Juben Handbags. The brand’s mission statement is to source and celebrate UK manufacturing, helping the economy flourish (and who doesn’t appreciate that in recession times?) and to create quality leather handbags – with a twist.

Juliette originally started making the “Juben bag” for her friends and family but soon found herself in high demand and now offers her signature bag of fine leather joined together with anodised aluminium hoops in a range of six colors, with more to come later in the year.

All in all, it was a marvellous evening and as a little treat for you our dear readers, you’re offered a discount on both brands – simply use BLOGGERS as your discount code for up to £50 off your purchase!
