NYFW: Diane Von Furstenberg SS14

dvf1 dvf2 dvf3 It was clear that the theme for this Diane Von Furstenberg show was femininity with a touch of feisty. With the colour palette (consisting of orange, black, white, brown and blue) being earthy, it seemed quite dark for the Spring/Summer season. However, the silhouettes looked every bit the part.

Most of the silhouettes were loose and did not grip tightly onto the body and the cuts were quite straight rather than curvy (making the pieces look feminine with a masculine touch).

In addition, it seemed like DVF had two different collections in one as at the beginning of the show, the collection consisted of pieces that were of solid colour and a defined cut. However, as the show continued, the pieces appeared to have had an African tribal theme. Some pieces were very simple and elegant, whilst other pieces were full of colour and extremely loud. Either way, the colour palette brought the whole collection into one beautiful show.

The show ended with Diane walking down the runway wearing a dress with an African theme (much like the last part of the runway show).
