His name did all the talking as Alexander Wang’s logo inspired collection hit the New York Fashion Week catwalk.
Weekends always showcase the most extrodinary clothing collections but this particular weekend at the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014 event, Alexander Wang surprised all from designs to decorations.
Being one of the most elaborate and quite confusing runways in history made Wang’s collection even more so unique and interesting.
Pier 94 did not know what hit them when the show opened in a spectacular fashion with front row attendees including Kanye West and Miguel, mens shirts were transformed in to mini ra-ra skirts and kilts, stiff fabric smock dresses appeared from nowhere and lavish logo t-shirts commanded the 15 minute runway show.
Wang’s use of ‘Parental Advisory’ logos and his own name built up the foundation for his plain white laser cut printed t-shirts which are sure to be a hit in a couple of days whilst being modelled on celebrities from all walks of life.
The versatile Spring 2014 collection made for easy viewing and can easily be imagined on any style seekers body during the beginning of the next season.
This collection had a sense of practicality and many items including the relaxed waist trousers and monochromatic dress can be either dressed up or down for any event.
Only Alexander Wang could make a logo look so chic and effortless without the usual awkward typography. This Spring 2014 collection gets the thumbs up.
