ANTONIO MARRAS Milan Fashion Week AW13
Antonio Marras’ Autumn/Winter 13 collection was one full of A-line shapes and clashing fabrics and prints.Although the prints were put together to clash geometrically, they worked extremely well and flowed in to one with ease: One example was that of a long sleeved dress which mixed polka-dot mesh, two different variants of houndstooth and embellished flowers. The romantic garden setting along with an opera singer and pianist for show music mirrored the delicate floral prints, gold foils and forest hues throughout the collection.
Many adrogynous and oversized looks hung loosely on the models to create an elaborate, fuller shoulder and were made effeminate through the use of embellishments and sleek pencil skirts.
Also featured in the collection were lurex pop socks paired with chunky brogue and loafer style heels as well as feminine Gladstone handbags.
